Hydraulic Injection Molding Machine, Part 2.

Main components of a Hydraulic Injection Molding Machine:

1. Hopper. Where the plastic raw material is stored.

2. Barrel Screw and nozzle. Where the plastic is transferred from the hopper to be melted at high temperature.

3. Platens and Clamping mechanism. Use to carry the Mold, closing and opening of it.

Hydraulic system:

1. Injection Hydraulic Cylinder. Pushes the melted plastic inside the mold cavities.

2. Screw drive Hydraulic Motor. Loads the plastic raw material into the barrel to be melted.

3. Clamp Hydraulic Cylinder. Opens and closes the two parts of the mold.

4. Ejector Hydraulic Cylinders. kicks the plastic pieces out of the mold.

5. Ejectors Hydraulic Motors. Pushes the plastic pieces out of the mold, usually screwed on parts like bottles.

6. Hydraulic pump or pumps. Usually variable displacement with electronic controls.

7. Clamping Valve Manifold.

8. Injection Valve Manifold.

9. Hydraulic Reservoir and fluid conditioning.
