Hydraulic accumulator simulation video
See how an
accumulator works in this simulation. After been charged, see the discharge in the
cylinder. See the speed of the rod during the extension. and retraction.
The
pump is only 5 GPM but the
flow during extension is more than 120 GPM. 15 GPM during the retraction.
Note how the monitor records the flow rate during the extension that happens in a split second that can be seen perfectly in metal injection molding where the injection cylinder must inject the molten metal into the mold as quickly as possible, like a gunshot.
